Capcom said on October 27, 2026, that net sales rose 49.0% to ¥120.9 billion in the six months to September 30, the first half of its fiscal year, from ¥81.2 billion a year earlier. Operating profit rose 54.5% to ¥60.8 billion, and profit attributable to owners of the parent rose 56.6% to ¥43.1 billion. The Osaka-based publisher of Resident Evil, Monster Hunter and Street Fighter kept its full-year forecast unchanged.
Most of the growth came from games. Capcom's games business, which it calls Digital Contents, sold 260 titles in 239 countries and regions, for a total of 36.86 million units, up from 23.85 million a year earlier. Of those, 32.18 million were catalog titles, against 22.85 million. New releases, which Capcom counts as titles released in the current fiscal year, made up the other 4.68 million units, up from 0.99 million, according to its results presentation. They were led by Pragmata, an all-new science-fiction action-adventure game released in April, at more than 2.7 million, and Onimusha: Way of the Sword, the first new game in that series in over 20 years, at more than 1.7 million.

Pricing and old favorites
Capcom said "active pricing measures" helped Resident Evil Requiem, released in February 2026, pass 8 million units in total, and Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 2 kept selling. Devil May Cry 5, a 2019 game, passed 14 million units, helped, Capcom said, by a Nintendo Switch 2 version in June and pricing tied to new animated content for the series; season 2 of the Netflix animated series Devil May Cry began streaming worldwide in May. Older Monster Hunter games also sold more after Capcom set a 2027 window for Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, a large expansion, and said both it and Monster Hunter Wilds would come to Switch 2.

Digital Contents made up 70.4% of group sales, up from 61.4% a year earlier (our calculation). The group total for operating profit is after ¥5.5 billion of unallocated corporate costs. Arcade Operations, which ended the period with 63 stores, lifted sales 26.2%, and Amusement Equipments, which makes pachislo gaming machines, sold three new models based on Resident Evil, Street Fighter 6 and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. Capcom also cited the live-action Street Fighter film, released worldwide on October 16, as part of its push to use its characters beyond games.
The full year
Capcom still forecasts net sales of ¥210.0 billion and operating profit of ¥83.0 billion for the year to March 31, 2027, the same figures it gave on May 13. After six months it has booked 57.6% of the sales forecast and 73.2% of the operating profit forecast (our calculation). The company publishes only full-year forecasts, saying it manages its business on an annual basis.
What comes next
Monster Hunter Outlanders, a mobile game developed by TiMi Studio Group, a subsidiary of Tencent Games, is due on iOS and Android on October 29; a mainland Chinese version is planned from 2027. Monster Hunter Wilds, released in February 2025, arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 on December 4, 2026.
The results came five days after Capcom said an unauthorized third party had accessed customer information linked to CAPCOM ID, the account needed to play some of its games online. It counted 11,774,247 affected records worldwide of email addresses and account data such as login dates and the IP address last used to sign in. In an October 23 update, it said 19 of the 196 accounts whose passwords had been changed without permission also had their e-Capcom store account pages viewed, exposing names, addresses and purchase histories. No credit card information was affected, Capcom said, and its games remain playable.
